How To Vote

DISCLAIMER

The following information is provided to help NAPE members with the voting process. For official information about the NAPE election, visit https://www.nape.ca/article/2021-nape-election-page/.

Voting for NAPE’s Secretary-Treasurer will take place by membership-wide vote – online and by phone.

Voting is by secret ballot, and your vote is completely confidential.

By Friday, March 19 members who have provided NAPE with an email address should have received their voting package by email. They will be able to vote either online or by phone.

By Friday, March 19 members who have provided NAPE with a mailing address should have received their voting package by Canada Post. They will be able to vote either online or by phone.

VOTING ONLINE

Voting opens Wednesday, March 24 at 8:00 am NDT. Voting closes Wednesday, March 31 at 4:30 pm NDT.

You will need your PIN, which is in the voting package sent to you.

Go to http://www.nape.isivote.com and follow the instructions.

If you are interrupted while voting, you can access the online voting system again to finish voting.

If you require technical support with electronic voting, please contact the Voter HelpLine at 1-888-281-8683.

VOTING BY PHONE

Voting opens March 24 at 8:00 am NDT. Voting closes Wednesday, March 31 at 4:30 pm NDT.

You will need your PIN, which is in the voting package sent to you.

To vote by phone, call 1-877-308-3726 and follow the instructions.

WHO CAN VOTE

All NAPE members in good standing can vote. That includes active and inactive members who have signed NAPE membership cards.

Active members are members who are paying dues to NAPE.

Inactive members:

  • Are on education leave, maternity / parental leave, or unpaid sick leave
  • Are awaiting the outcome of an arbitration case
  • Have experienced a workplace injury
  • Are seasonal employees
  • Are temporarily assigned to management positions but still in a NAPE bargaining unit
  • Are on unpaid leave covered by their Collective Agreement
  • Are members with recall rights under their Collective Agreement

VOTING PACKAGE & PIN NUMBER

Members should receive their voting packages and Personal Identification Numbers (PINs), either by email or Canada Post on or before Friday, March 19. Emails would come from voterinfo@intelivote.com.

DIDN’T RECEIVE A VOTING PACKAGE?

If you haven’t received your voting package, first check your email junk folder for a message from voterinfo@intelivote.com. If you still can’t find the email, or if you didn’t receive a voting package in the mail, contact NAPE office to request a card or to update your information and to let the Election Committee know you did not receive a voting package.

DEADLINE TO BE ADDED TO VOTER’S LIST & TO RECEIVE PIN

The last day to add people to the voters’ list AND the last day to receive a PIN is noon NDT on Tuesday, March 30.

VOTING PERIOD

Voting begins at 8:00 am NDT on Wednesday, March 24 and closes at 4:30 pm NDT on Wednesday, March 31.

VOTING RESULTS

Voting results will be released at 5:00 pm NDT on Wednesday, March 31.
